Why are there so many pain points during the research process? Kids struggle. Teachers struggle. Inquiry should be fun and engaging, but so often, it’s the opposite. Let’s unpack some of the traditional ways we have taught research in schools and recognize where we have to pivot our instruction to better meet the needs of today’s learners. Afterall, they are conducting inquiry in a very different way than we did as students, especially in light of AI. Let’s help teachers ditch those outdated research lessons and empower students with the skills they need to thrive.
