Information literacy is more than just being able to find and evaluate information. It is also about being able to understand how our own emotions and biases can affect the way we process information. In this session, we will explore how social-emotional learning (SEL) can help students become more critical thinkers and better consumers of information. By the end of this session, you will have a better understanding of how SEL can be integrated into information literacy instruction. You will also have a toolkit of strategies for helping students become more critical thinkers and better consumers of information.
