Specializing in curriculum, assessment, and instructional planning, Allison collaborates with schools around the world to create meaningful and challenging learning experiences for both students and educators.
An accomplished author, Allison has written 12 books, including Streamlining and numerous articles that offer fresh ideas supported by actionable strategies and real-world examples. As the co-director of the Institute for Habits of Mind, she works globally to integrate the 16 Habits of Mind into school cultures, assessments, and instructional practices. Her work helps educators create environments where students can develop essential skills and mindsets for lifelong learning.
Allison is also the co-founder of Curriculum Storyboards with Heidi Hayes Jacobs where they feature how curriculum storyboards are being used worldwide to inspire others. The platform offers opportunities to view examples, listen to interviews with school practitioners, and read insights from the field. Allison’s mission is to help schools create educational environments that are not only modernized and effective, but also deeply engaging for everyone involved.
